1. The Star Badge<\/b><\/h2>\n

This one’s the most obvious. If someone has a small black star sitting next to their display name on their profile they’ve got Snapchat<\/a> Plus. You’ll see it in your chat list or when you open their profile.<\/span><\/p>\n

But here’s the thing. It’s optional. Users can switch it off in settings so the star not being there doesn’t rule it out. Plenty of Plus subscribers hide it.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Their Story Is Still Up Past 24 Hours<\/b><\/h2>\n

Regular stories disappear after a day. Snapchat Plus lets you extend that anywhere from 1 hour to a full week. So if someone’s story is still sitting there two or three days after they posted it that’s a decent clue. Just worth checking they haven’t reposted it though before you assume.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. A Unique Background Behind Their Bitmoji<\/b><\/h2>\n

Open their profile and look at the background behind their Bitmoji. Plus users get access to exclusive and AI-generated backgrounds that aren’t available on the free version. If it looks noticeably different from the standard options or has a gold AI badge on it that’s a Plus feature.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. A Random Emoji Pops Up After They View Your Snap<\/b><\/h2>\n

This one catches people off guard. Snapchat Plus lets subscribers set a custom emoji called a Post View Emoji that shows up next to their name in your chat after they’ve viewed your snap<\/a>. If you send someone a snap and then spot a little emoji beside their name on the chat screen they definitely have Plus.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. They Know You Rewatched Their Story More Than Once<\/b><\/h2>\n

Free users see total view numbers on their stories. Plus subscribers see individual rewatch counts so they know exactly how many times each specific person watched it. If someone ever mentions or reacts to you watching their story more than once that’s about as clear a sign as you’ll get.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Ghost Trails on Snap Map<\/b><\/h2>\n

On Snap Map free users show a single location pin. Plus subscribers who’ve enabled Ghost Trails show a path of where they’ve been over the past 24 hours. If you open the map and see a trail of movement from someone rather than just a dot they’re on Plus and sharing that data with you.<\/span><\/p>\n

7. They Mention a Feature You Don’t Have<\/b><\/h2>\n

Sometimes it’s that simple. If someone talks about their Friend Solar System results, tells you they saw you rewatched their story or mentions testing a new feature before you’ve heard of it they’re almost certainly on Plus.<\/span><\/p>\n
